Who needs the Superbowl when there is the Charnwood District Football tournament! Hundreds of young people from across the District turned up and worked hard in their teams to lift the trophy for their section.

Although this year there was a slight twist, the Scouts, for the first time, had a unihoc tournament instead of football as a new challenge for them. It was also a challenge for the District team to see how many hockey sticks they could glue back together in between matches!

It was all incredibly good fun and after some very close matches and a nail biting final the winners of the Scouts first ever unihoc tournament was Barrow Upon Soar!

After the Scouts the Cubs took to the pitch, with tones of enthusiasm and great footballing skill the matches were very close. The high talent displayed by the Cubs showed just how much training they had put in to try and become the District champions.

This years winning Cub pack were Quorn! Congratulations to them on a brilliant win.

Once the Cubs had crowned their champions nearly 200 Beavers arrived at the sports hall, all very eager to get on the pitch and play ball!

Before we kicked off ADC Beavers Sandy presented a Chief Scout Bronze award to a Beaver from Wolds.

After many heats and some very energetic semifinals and a very close final, which went into overtime! The 2018 Beaver champions were presented with their medals and trophy. Congratulations to Rothley Beavers.
