Roll out the red carpet as Barrow Scouts have stared on the big screen!
The troop are looking for more Leaders to help run the section and provide some of the amazing activities they take part in and give them experiences they wouldn’t normally get.
For recruitment many groups try posters, word of mouth and other traditional methods but not Barrow! They produced recruitment videos.
Each patrol scripted, planned and filmed their own recruitment videos which showed the things they love about Scouting, things they have learnt, the fun they have and show what any new Leader could be part of.
After filming leader Aaron spent a few days going through all the takes and editing the videos together, but it didn’t end there.
Once the videos were finished they had to be shown somewhere, so where else other than a screening at Cineworld Loughborough! The cinema supported the group by giving them a private screen where the adverts were first shown to the Scouts and then all their parents, as well as giving them a private screening of the new film Early Man.
We look forward to seeing the new Leaders recruited after watching the videos… and the Oscar nominations!
