Rothley Beavers were out taking part in an out of this world adventure! They travelled to the stars for a very special sleepover at the National Space Centre.

Starting their evening off watching a show in the planetarium showing them all things about space they then go to listen to a talk and see a demonstration about rockets, which saw a bottle being filled with rocket fuel and launched down a drainpipe and then a talk about what it’s like being an astronaut in space.

After the talk and demonstration the Beavers got to explore all the different exhibits at the Space Centre looking at our planet, our solar system, the universe and so much more! Next they got to have a hands on activity looking at gravity before getting ready for bed under the stars and watching another film in the planetarium.

Also during this special sleepover Beaver Leader John had a surprise and was invested by fellow Leader Matt and made his promise in front of all the Beavers.

The Beavers, Leaders and parent helpers all had a brilliant night and we cant wait to see the next Rothley Adventure.
