Nick Fordyce has led Charnwood since Paul Smith finished as District Commissioner. On behalf of the County team and all of Charnwood Scouting, I’d like to thank Nick for leading the District through ‘Transformation’ and ensuring that great Scouting continues across the District.
It’s now time for a change – we are looking for a new Lead Volunteer to build on your success and take Charnwood forward. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and motivated individual to shape the future of Scouting in Charnwood District – supporting volunteers, strengthening Groups and ensuring more Young People can experience fun and adventure.
At last week’s All Leaders’ meeting, you said you’d like us to look for someone who is:
· Friendly and approachable
· A team builder
· Organised
· A great communicator
· Dynamic and willing to make change
· Knowledgeable – about leadership and Scouting
· Committed and enthusiastic
· Prepared to get stuck in
· Patient and supportive
· Willing to learn
Does this sound like you? Or maybe someone you know? The role can be shared between more than one volunteer if preferred as a joint role working collaboratively.
Below you can download more information about the role as well as an application/nomination form. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to apply or find out more about the role. The deadline for applications in 31st March.
