Trina Cooper is stepping down as Group Scout Leader of Barrow Scout Group at the end of the year after successfully leading the Group for 6 years.
Trina has led her team of volunteers to grow the Group and provide the Young People in the Group with an exciting programme to ensure they get #SkillsForLife.
The search starts now for a new Group Lead Volunteer to fill the role to take the Group through Transformation and into the future.
I am leading a small search team, who are looking for nominations and applications from all areas of the District and County.
We are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to continue to make scouting an amazing experience for both our Young People and adult volunteers in the Group.
Could this be you or someone you know?
I have attached the GLV Vacancy Pack for the Group Lead Volunteer role, which includes the job description, person specification, nomination and application forms.
There will be plenty of learning and support for you, should you consider the role, so please do not feel daunted by job description or feel that you couldn’t take on the role as you currently don’t meet all the requirements.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss this opportunity, or if you have any questions, at any time prior to your nomination or application.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours in Scouting,
Nick Fordyce
Deputy District Commissioner
