It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with East Goscote having their annual Christmas Carol Concert.
All the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and parents gathered at the local church for the Concert where they sing Chrismas songs and present their annual awards.
Awards were given out for the top Scout, Cub and Beaver. They usually present these awards to the young person who has gained the most points for during the year for things such as being helpful and best behavior.
During the evening the Beavers performed We 3 Kings and they shook things up after one Leader taught them another version, you can see the video below…
As well as awards for the top Scout, Cub and Beaver, there were also several Chief Scout awards given out. The Chief Scout award is the highest award a young person can gain in their section and they work towards it for the entire time they are in the section.
It wasn’t just the young people who gained awards, two Leaders were also awarded the Award for Merit, which is given to adults who have given a minimum of 12 years of outstanding service.
