Hi All
Its been another amazing year in Charnwood District, we have had some excellent events, camps and trips across every group.
Its at this time of the year we all start thinking about what we want to do in the year ahead, well of course its deliver more great Scouting, but this doesn’t happen with out the leaders, the exec’ committees and all those little extra bits completed by parents or friends who step in to do the camp shopping, man a stall at the group fair, or even sell those raffle tickets – every single person makes a difference. Thank you.
This year you have changed the lives, and outlook of many young people and adults, through skills and games, there will be something they will remember for the rest of their lives. We have all had the new member that didn’t stay, but they too remember their Scouting experience at some point.
We have had to say goodbye to some fellow leaders this year, and we will be thinking and supporting their families, as well as keeping them involved in the forth coming year.
I would like to send extra thanks to the Group Scout Leaders and Managers who have increased numbers and managed to keep the leaders happy, but the District wouldn’t be where it is without the dedicated team and execuctive committee, their dedication, support and committment this year has been fantastic, watch out 2020 we are coming to offer even more fun!
