A fantastic sporting event happened on Saturday. Teams competed for the glory of being crowned champions. No we’re not talking about the World Cup, we’re talking about the District Raft Race!
Teams of Scouts and Explorers came together in the glorious sunshine to build their rafts out of barrels, poles and water containers. Once built, they took to the water and raced. Some Scouts didn’t quite last on their rafts and took a dip in the lake, however I don’t think they minded considering how hot it was.
Once all the races were over and the points counted we had our winners. In second place Barrow 2. This years champions were Sileby 2!
Congratulations to them and a huge well done to all the teams which took part.
