The Wild West, dragons, trains, tractors, driving school and barrels. What do they all have in common? It’s a District Beaver trip to Sundown Adventureland.

200 Beavers from across the District went on a day out to the family theme park in Nottingham.

The young people, enjoyed going on the many rides, like the run away train. One of the popular rides among the Beavers (and the Leaders!) was the Sundown Tractor Ride where the Beavers went around the track seeing farm animals. Another popular ride was the water barrel ride, which went round a river and the Beavers got Squirted with water!

As well of the rides there were plenty of playgrounds and other fun activities for the Beavers, including a driving school which saw them take to cars on a miniature road.

At the end of the day some of the Beavers got to meet Honey and Sunny and one Beaver from Rothley had her Chief Scout Bronze award presented by Honey and Sunny.

Thank you to Sundown Adventureland for hosting our Beaver day out and take a look at the photos from the day below.
