The greatest swimming competition in Charnwood was back and better than ever!
Beavers and Cubs from across the District gathered at Loughbrough Leisure Centre to swim for their groups to see who will win this years swimming gala.
The Beavers were up first, each race was split into age categories and a category for non swimmers so everyone could take part in the gala. Races ranged from traditional front crawl and back stroke races to pushing the football with your nose and swimming through a hoop.
Each race was challenging and the Beavers were fantastic at swimming but only one group could be crowned the champions… Keep reading to see the final scores.
After the Beavers it was time for the Cubs. They had even more races and they had inflatables! Swimming lengths and widths and with whales, that’s right whales, the Cubs battled it out for points and to become top of the table. There was also a special Leaders race at the end.
A big thank you to Loughbrough Leisure Centre for hosing the gala and thank you to all the Leaders who volunteered to go into the pool and help the young people. Now for the part you have all wanted to see, the points table!
